29 June Independence Day Seychelles
The Seychelles National flag of the third republic is made of five oblique bands of blue, yellow, red, white and green representing a young country moving in the new future.
The colour blue depicts the sky and the sea that surrounds us, yellow is for the sun which gives light and life, red symbolizes the people and its determination to work for the future in unity and love, whilst the white band represents social justice and harmony, the green depicts the land and the natural environment.


National Anthem

‘Koste Seselwa’ is the name given to our national anthem of the third republic. The words and tune has put together by the local artist, and translated in English and French.

Ceremonies

Seychelles celebrates it National day on the 18 of June, which predominate by the military parade and the state of the Nation Address by the president. Apart from the national day, Seychelles celebrate it liberation day on the 5 of June and it independent day on the 29th of June.

Seychelles Coat of Arms
  The coat of arms of the Republic of Seychelles shows a shield, in which a turtle is located on green grounds. On the ground there is a coconut tree. Behind it there is a blue sea with two islands and a boat to be seen. The shield is enthroned by a silver helmet, on which a tropical bird is located before blue and white waves. The shield is supported by two white swordfish. Beneath the shield the motto of Seychelles is stated: "Finis Coronat Opus" (Latin for "The End Crowns the Work").
